With a form inspired by classic modernist furniture designs by
Marcel Breuer and Hans Wegner, the cork bench explores materiality that is both durable and sustainable. The steel-reinforced seat and backrest are upholstered in cork, and the coated steel frame disassembles into 4 flat-packable pieces. Assembly is completely tool-less, facilitated by the cork thumbscrews which hold the frame together via 4 aluminum splines. The feet are 3d printed out of rubber-like TPU, a strong and slightly compressible material.
